1. Who is responsible
We are Purxiy, a business based in the United States, and we are responsible for the personal data described here. Questions about your data: email [email protected], open a ticket in your dashboard or ask us on our Discord server.
This policy covers our websites purxiy.com and purxiyclient.com, your Purxiy account, buying Purxiy and the Purxiy client.
2. What we process and why
- Your account: your email address and username; if you sign in with Google, the name, profile photo and account ID Google gives us; if you sign in with email, your password, which we only keep as a hash that cannot be turned back into the password. We need this to run your account (our contract with you).
- Purchases: our shop runs on SellAuth and Whop. The one you pay through tells us your email address, your order and invoice or payment number, what you bought, what you paid and with which payment method. We never see your card or bank details. We use this to make your licence and to keep our accounts (contract, and the law: tax records).
- Your licence and PC: a licence works on one PC. We keep a hash of your PC's hardware ID (the ID itself never leaves your PC), a name for the PC and when it was bound or released (contract).
- The client: when you link the game to your account, a short link code and a signed lease that lets the client run offline for a few days; the username friends find you by, with the Minecraft accounts (UUID and name, the last five) the client reports for it; configs you share, with their photo (we remove camera and location data from it) and share codes (contract). While the client is open it checks in with our server once a minute and says goodbye when you close it; we keep only the times (since when it has been open and when it last checked in), to see whether Purxiy is in use (our interest in running the service). The statistics in Purxiy's Profile stay on your PC, unless you turn on syncing: then the client sends the counters the dashboard shows, never your chat or route, and we delete them when you turn it off (your consent, which you can withdraw in the client at any time).
- Support and reviews: your tickets, emails, messages and the crash reports you attach; your review, with your first name only if you choose to show it (contract, and our interest in helping you).
- Affiliate programme: if you share your link, we count how often it is opened (as a number per day; to count one visitor once a day, the server briefly remembers a hash of their IP address in its memory) and keep which purchases came through it and the payout details you send us (contract with you as an affiliate).
- Discord: if you link your Discord account, its user ID, name and avatar, and which roles in our Discord server came with your licence. We use them to add you to that server and to keep your roles in line with your licence; unlinking takes those roles back (contract).
- Withdrawals: the name, email address, order and note you send with Withdraw from contract, and when (the law requires us to handle and confirm it).
- Security: to protect the site from abuse, the server counts requests per IP address in its memory, for minutes up to a day, and keeps no list of them (our interest in a safe service).
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising and we do not make automated decisions about you.
4. Who else receives data
Only the companies that help us run Purxiy, each for its own part:
- SellAuth runs the shop and the checkout, and passes your payment to the payment method you choose (Stripe for cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay; PayPal; Bitcoin or Litecoin).
- Whop runs the checkout for cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and tells us about the payment.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google, and for our support mailbox (Gmail): email you send to [email protected] arrives there.
- Resend sends our emails: codes, confirmations and answers.
- Cloudflare carries all traffic to our websites, protects them against attacks and forwards email sent to [email protected].
- Vultr hosts our server.
- Discord, if you link your Discord account: through Discord we add you to our server and give your roles. And for support: new tickets and withdrawals can reach our team in a private Discord channel.
We share data with others only when the law requires it.
5. Outside the EU
We are based in the United States, and so is our server. Some of the companies above are based in, or keep data in, the United States as well. For these transfers we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the company takes part in it, and otherwise on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep it
- Your account, licences, tickets, reviews and Discord link: as long as your account exists (a Discord link until you unlink it). Ask us and we delete your account within a month.
- Purchases, refunds and withdrawals: 7 years, for our tax records, also after your account is gone.
- Affiliate commissions and payouts: 7 years, for the same reason.
- Synced profile statistics: until you turn syncing off.
- Backups of our data: 14 days.
7. Your rights
You may ask us which data we have about you, and ask us to correct, delete, limit or hand over your data, or object to how we use it. Where you gave consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Write to [email protected], open a ticket in your dashboard or ask us on our Discord server; we answer within a month.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, please tell us first. If you live in the EU, you may also complain to the data protection authority of your country.
8. Under 16
If you are younger than 16, please ask a parent or guardian to make your account or to agree to it.
9. Changes
We update this policy when Purxiy or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version; we tell you about important changes in advance.
